Having issues controlling your gate with your IoTHub?

Please try the steps below to troubleshoot your operation issues.

1. Confirm Remote is Paired

You can try re-pairing the remote again. In the Digicraft Home application, go to Settings > DEVICE MANAGEMENT > Your Device > ADD/REMOTE REMOTE > Pair new remote and

Notes:

Re-pairing the remote will not affect the device settings.

Notes:

Move to Step 2 if the remote is paired

2. Ensure Device is Online and Stable

You can do this by checking if the LED has a breathing effect. If not, please wait for your IoTHub to connect to your home WiFi.

Alternatively, check your WiFi connection. (E.g. Perform an internet speedtest)

Please also ensure the IoTHub is consistently online with the LED only having a breathing effect and no other blinking pattern (Except in configuration mode).

The IoTHub stability can also be tested by pressing on the Digicraft Home app controls. When the control is pressed, the LED on IoTHub will flash and your gate will perform the specific command.

Notes:

Move to Step 3 if the device is online and stable

3. Direct Line of Sight to Control Box

If your IoTHub flashes after pressing the controls but the gate refuses to move, it may be because the gate controller is unable to receive the command from the IoTHub.

Try moving the IoTHub to a position where it has a direct line of sight to the gate's control box while maintaining a WiFi connection.

Tips:

You can use a power bank as a temporary power source while finding the best position.
The gate receiver is in the control box.

Notes:

The IoTHub is susceptible to stability issues if it is placed on a metal surface or a metal environment.
There are also cases where the IoTHub is unable to communicate with the gate if there is a car parked in between the IoTHub and the control box.

Notes:

Move to Step 4 if the device is still unable to control the gate

4. Straighten the Antenna

By examining the back of the IoTHub, you will notice a loop of white cable inside the device, which serves as the device antenna.

To enhance the range of the IoTHub, gently pull out that cable and straighten it. This adjustment can help improve the IoTHub's signal reception and extend its coverage area.

Notes:

Please exercise caution while handling the antenna cable to avoid any damage.
